(25.11.2018) Before the finals of Everbright Sun Hung Kai Hong Kong Squash Open 2018 today, six celebrities were invited to play inside the glass squash court at Hong Kong Park Sports Centre for the Celebrity Squash Cup.
The Celebrity Squash Cup has invited six celebrities to be divided into two teams for a series of squash matches. Mr. Duncan Chiu, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash led the Hong Kong Squash Team which included his fellow Mr. John Wong and Mr. Calvin Tien, Vice - Chairmen of Hong Kong Squash to play against the Celebrity Team included the Captain Mr. Norman Chan Tak Lam, GBS JP, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and his teammates Mr. Leung Pak Yin, Chief Executive Hospital Authority and Mr. Yeung Tak Keung, MH, Commissioner for Sports of Home Affairs Bureau.
After three matches, Celebrity team claimed the triumph by beating Hong Kong Squash team at 2:1 in this year's celebrity cup. Mr. David Mui, MH JP, President of Hong Kong Squash presented the trophies to the winning teams. "I am truly overwhelmed as it is my first time to play at the all-glass court,” said Mr. Duncan Chiu with joy after the match. Mr. Norman Chan, GBS JP, who also commented it was a very enjoyable experience.
