Elise joined the WISPA tour in 2000, and has since been making good progress. A product of the elite training programme at the Hong Kong Sports Institute, she been a key member of the Hong Kong team over these years, but it was not until 2007 that Ng becomes better known to many domestic squash fans.

To increase her international exposure and improve her skills, Elise moved to the Netherlands last year with the support of the Institute and attached to a local squash club. The result was encouraging as the 26 years old won her first senior ranking title in Hellendoorn, the Netherlands in April this year. Two months ago at Des Pyramides Open in France, Elise made her first Tour final before losing 3-1 to Isabelle Stoehr of the hosts.

The toil of seven years of competitive action on the WISPA World Tour finally bore fruit for Elise.

Back home, she also reached the quarterfinals at the Crocodile Challenge Cup in September, but was stopped by SAR number one Rebecca Chiu who prevailed 3-1 in the last eight encounter.
