(2.12.2013) Starting off the Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Squash Open 2013 with all the honorable guests and players joined the Welcoming Reception tonight.
After the welcoming speech from Mr. David Mui, MH, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash and the President of Asian Squash Federation, Mr Mui together with all VIP guests including Mr. Norman Chan, GBS JP, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Mr. William Leung Wing Cheung, BBS, JP, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of Sun Hung Kai Financial, Mr. Jonathan McKinley, JP, Deputy Secretary (Recreation & Sport), Home Affairs Bureau, Miss Grace Chan and Miss Sisley Choi, Miss Hong Kong 2013 First and Second Runners-up, Mr. T. Brian Stevenson, SBS JP ,Chairman of The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Mr. Duncan Chiu, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Hong Kong Squash Open 2013, respectively proposed a toast to wish the tournament all the best and success.
Undoubtedly, heading by the women’s world number one and two Nicol David and Laura Massaro and men's world top three players, Ramy Ashour, Gregory Gaultier and James Willstrop all main draw players also attended the Welcoming Reception. This probably would be their last precious opportunity to relax and hang out with other players before the main draw commences tomorrow.
