(25.08.2014) After two days of matches, the men’s and women’s qualifying rounds are completed today at Hong Kong Squash Centre. All local qualifying players are stopped when Leo Au Chun-ming was defeated by Shaun Le Roux in 4 games. Leo came back in the third set after being led 2-0, but he could not hold until the last and lost at the end in 63 minutes.

Meanwhile, another local star Liu Tsz Ling has pushed Mariam Metwally so hard in the first game before losing 10-12. However, the Egyptian was too strong, Liu was finally eliminated in 0-3.

The men's and women's main draws will start with the top half tomorrow at 1:30pm at Hong Kong Squash Centre.

For the men's, the top seed and the world number one Gregory Gaultier will meet the qualifier, Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan from Malaysia at 7:30pm, while the local hero, Max Lee who just finished the final of Malaysian Open last Saturday will meet the seventh seed Daryl Selby from England at 8:30pm at Centre Court. 

The women's will start with Joey Chan, who will meet the qualifier Millou ven der Heijden from Netherlands at 1:30pm. The defending champion Nicol David will also be featured tomorrow when she will meet Delia Arnold, her teammate in Asian Team Championships at 5:30pm.
