(30.11.2015) To celebrate the 30th Anniversary and commence the Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Squash Open 2015, we have all the honorable guests and players participating in the Welcoming Reception tonight.
After the welcoming speech from Mr. David Mui, MH, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash and the President of Asian Squash Federation and the speech from The honorable Mrs. Betty Fung JP, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs. Mr. Mui and Mrs. Fung together with all VIP guests including Mr. Julian Lyden, General Manager, Marketing, Loyalty Programmes and CRM, Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, Mr. William Leung, BBS, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Sun Hung Kai Financial Ltd , Dr. York Chow, GBS, JP, Chairperson of Equal Opportunities Commission and WSF Ambassador for Squash, Miss Veronica Shiu, Miss Hong Kong 2014, Miss Iris Lam, Miss Friendship 2015 and Mr. William Ko, BBS, MH, Chairman, Major Sports Events Committee respectively proposed a toast to wish the tournament all the best and success.
Most top players including the women’s world no. 1 and 2, Raneem El Welily and Nicol David as well as the new men’s world champion Gregory Gaultier and men's world no. 1, Mohamed Elshorbagy together with the local top players Annie Au Wing-chi and Max Lee Ho-yin, also attended the Welcoming Reception. They all enjoyed the wonderful and precious moment to hang out with other players, sponsor and friends in a relaxing atmosphere before starting the intensive week tomorrow.
