(22.8.2016) Before the commencement of the main event of Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Squash Open 2016, the Welcoming Reception is held tonight with the participation of all the players and honourable guests and representatives.
After the welcoming speech addressed from Mr. David Mui, MH, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash and Mr. Yeung Tak Keung, JP, Commissioner for Sports, Home Affair Bureau, Mr. Mui and Mr. Yueng together with all honourable guests including Mr. Julian Lyden, General Manager, Marketing, Loyalty Programmes and CRM, Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, Mr. William Leung, SBS, BBS, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Sun Hung Kai Financial Ltd, Miss Lisa Chong, Second Runner-up, Miss Hong Kong 2010 and Miss Kelly Cheung, Miss Chinese International 2012, Mr. William Ko, BBS, MH, Chairman, Major Sports Events Committee and Dr. Leung Pak Yin, Chief Executive of Hospital Authority proposed a toast to wish the tournament all the best and success.
Most of the top players including the women’s world no. 1 and 2 Nour El Sherbini and Laura Massaro as well as the men's world no. 1, Mohamed Elshorbagy together with the local top players including Annie Au, Joey Chan, Max Lee and Leo Au also attended the Welcoming Reception. They all enjoyed the wonderful and precious moment to hang out with other players, sponsor and friends in a relaxing atmosphere before starting the intensive main draw tomorrow.
